John Cratchley I found Jesse's 'Folkadelphia' set and was impressed enough to check out his other recordings...this really took my attention.
There is some beautiful playing (picking) here with enough occasional dissonance and left-field diversion to make things really interesting.
It's such a hard field to be distinctive within but Jesse handles it just fine...his own style, his own sound (although I think I hear the shade of Pierre Bensusan sometimes)...

about

!!!New bonus included with this album as of 11/5/2011!!!
For you guitar nerdz that are not nerdy enough or too lazy to read guitar music notation (I count myself in this unfortunate class), I present:
'or Kestrel Explained,' a 22 page pdf tablature booklet of most of the tunes on the album, and including 1 bonus manuscript of the song "Light Cycle / Tetrahedra" which appears on both my 2005 8 song mini-album 'Palmaria Palmata,' and the 2006 Tompkins Square compilation 'Imaginational Anthem Volume Two.'

2,4, and 7 had been previously available unmastered and a different recording of 10 had been available on the 8-song mini-album Palmaria Palmata. The rest have never seen the light of day mastered till now...
